About

Hello,

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience, specialising in Psychoanalysis, Psychological Counselling, and Existential Psychotherapy. I have worked in both one-to-one and group settings, and have encountered a diverse range of individuals with their many ways of understanding themselves, their relationships and the world they find themselves in.

I have worked in private practice since 2010, initially alongside roles in clinical organisations in London, including at the London Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (LACAP) in East London, where I later worked as Senior Associate Therapist. Since 2012, my work has been focused on private practice.

In 2011, I joined the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research (CFAR), where I completed a clinical training course in Lacanian Psychoanalysis from 2011 to 2015. Since then, I have engaged in Lacanian study and clinical seminars with both the New Lacanian School (NLS) and CFAR in London.

Background

Before moving to London in 2003, I lived in Munich, Paris, and Hamburg. My earlier work was rooted in literature, cinema, and writing, and I initially embarked on a career in journalism and media. I was a writer and editor for newspapers, film festivals, and cultural magazines. Additionally, I served as an editor and reporter for Kulturzeit (3SAT), a cultural and art TV programme in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. I hold a diploma in Contemporary French Literature from the Sorbonne in Paris and an MA in Linguistics, Journalism, and French Literature from the University of Hamburg.

My training in Psychodynamic Psychodrama occurred at the Ella Mae Shearon Institute in Cologne and the Scena Institute in Hamburg. I gained extensive experience as a group therapy trainer, facilitating seminars and training for clinicians, team managers, students, social workers, artists and creative professionals.

In London, I obtained my MA in Counselling Psychology and my Post-MA Diploma in Existential Counselling Psychology from Regent’s College in 2008. As a Chartered Psychologist, I am a full member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

A remark by Jacques Lacan – “Desire is the desire of the Other” – resonates with how I work. Discovering more about the unique story of a person, along with the past and present key moments in the relationships that have shaped them, has become a decisive part of my clinical practice. Both old and new crossroads in life can transform a person’s life, the way they speak about themselves, and the directions they take from there; this is the approach I strive to embody in my clinical work.
